Competition Database is created by partners-in-crime Nicola and Mark. Together we run a small but busy business whilst managing two not-so-small and exceptionally busy 3-year-old twins!
A combined love of tech, the Internet and free stuff led us - almost inevitably - to comping!
When we initially started comping we found it hard to easily keep track of what we had entered and which competitions had announced winners or not. We found sites that went some of the way to tracking some of the competitions out there - but tracking them all seemed impossible.
So we developed our own - much simpler - "competition database" to make life easier.
It quickly became apparent that we could expand this into something much more useful and the decision was made that we would fully develop and expand the original database into what you now see here - the Competition Database!
Nicola squeezes in comping with running a business and being a mum to two very demanding & energetic twins.
Mark is the technical man behind the scenes - he works tirelessly to make sure things work as they should! When he's not deep in computer code he is
managing playing with his twins!
It was decided early on that if we're going to do this at all we have to do this right. The comping community is large, active, engaging - and exciting! We have the opportunity to make something that helps unite many people together and provide a genuinely useful platform for the discovery, organisation and enjoyment of competitions.
So we have leveraged our business behind this site - which provides some huge benefits to both the site and our users:
So enjoy the site - and do let us know if you have problems or would like new features added!
